Introducing our Parts Lab.
Born out of necessity this service is what we use internally to reduce parts costs for our customers and reduce lead times.
Previous to having a Parts Specialist our mechanices, admin staff and managers would be on the web and phone searching for parts. Often the first option that came up with the smallest lead time would be our pick as we just didn’t have the time to deep dive a bit further. An odd ball cable with a 6 weeks lead time arrived and was slightly wrong caused our customer to become very frustrated is just one example of what was happening.
The Parts Lab is run as a division of the The Workshop est 1924 and is run by, Andy, our in-house parts specialist. He has set up national and international suppliers for all truck parts. He has the experience to ask the right questions, before a part is sent out.
