Our water jet cutting machine
At The Cutting Lab, we use a Maxiem Waterjet Cutter. The water jet machine uses high pressure water (48,000 PSI) and garnet (abrasive media) to cut through almost anything.
We cut a wide range of materials, including:
- Steel, stainless steel, aluminium
- Plastics and engineered materials
- Carbon fibre, Kevlar, G10
- Rubber, foam, gasket materials
- Stone, tile, and ceramics
That flexibility allows us to support a variety of jobs, from one-off parts to full production runs.

No file? No worries! At The Cutting Lab, we can use multiple types of files to set up the water jet machine, but if you don't have the cut shape on a file, we can create one from your dimensions or hand drawn diagrams.
